Tips to Save Water This Summer.
With a very hot dry summer around the corner, here are a few ideas to help save water and reduce your water bill.
Garden – choose native plants, water after the sun goes down, mulch to keep the water in, water heavily less often to encourage deep root growth.
Outside – consider a rainwater tank, sweep instead of hosing paths, use a pool cover to avoid evaporation.
In the home – replace your toilet with a dual flush, shorten your showers, check the water usage on your dishwasher and washing machine, replace your showerhead with a water-efficient version.
We can all do something to save water. As we continue to see the impacts of climate change, it’s never been more important to teach our future sustainability champions good waterwise habits. It’s also good for your hip pocket as cost of living pressure hits us all.
